Meet Maxy...
This will be the thirteenth week of my adoption after being ripped from my comfortable home and dumped with my three companions at the CRD pound for a few stressful weeks of untold horrors.
My three companions suffered many problems and all was done by Beverly and volunteers to try and save them.
To no avail. They are now with my mistress safe and sound.
They called me "Big Red" but I became Maxy-two, Maxy-tu and now have settled on plain Maxy.
Funny thing was that the first Max was "Big Red" before being named plain Max.
So here I am after thirteen weeks after that Sunday when Bryan came to see me at Beverly's.
He plied me with cat nip and and I am very partial to that so I took to him well.
They say I am old but I behave much younger than they think.
I have been known to do the kitty mad dashes about in the cat hunting mode.
I arrived at my new home and have settled in quite nicely these past weeks.
I have been so busy checking out everything, marking all my favourite objects and Bryan also.
Finding and trying new sleeping spots but I have come full circle back to the bedroom.
I am working very hard to train Bryan and he seems to be progressing very well.
I am a very loud purr person and can keep it up for long periods.
I am an avid talker and have different calls for different actions.
Feed me, I have just used the litter box, just had a drink, come to the basement and brush me this I do three or four times of an evening,
I love that and rub my belly. Gurgle at the cat nip.
What's this doing here? Why can't I see those birdies when they fly towards me in the dining room?
I know what "Maxy come on then " means but I prefer the talking meows language.
We have been to see Dr.Liz and I have to lose some weight gradually.
Running up and down stairs helps and also helps to build up my muscles.
I have some stress fur loss here and there but that will grow back in as time goes on just like Max one did.
I may have a bit of a kidney problem but we think we can keep it under control other wise all the other tests came back negative.
I like my special food and supplement ok and some treats now and then.
I like to rest my head on the pink cat nip mouse at times.
This is the computer chair that old Max one loved.
I love to pretend sharpen my claws on it.
I never lost the sharpen claw urge even though they removed them.
Actually I am just an old "cough-drop" [an old softy] and will like it here more and more as time goes on.
I do have my routines and Bryan has complied.
I think we get a bit of guidance from my mistress.
Bryan was laying on the floor and I was purring loudly moving about and Bryan said "Come on then give us a kiss" so I came over purringly and gave him a cold nose wet one!.
[ Note from Bryan. My Mum used to say that to me as a kid and believe it or not he did it twice ! ]
