Quincy is a playful and affectionate cat with a unique personality. He has a very deep and loud purr that is easily triggered by any attention. Although he may rarely sit on your lap, he is content to curl up right next to you, stretch his paws over your legs, and constantly roll over to show his belly and attract more attention and maybe a quick tummy rub. He will never tire of being petted and will sometimes grab your hand with his paw and bring it towards his head as if asking you to give him a good scratch under the chin. In the morning and evening he is very playful and will chase his ball endlessly until it gets stuck beneath the couch. Then he might just run around, chasing anything else he can find. He also loves to stare out the window to observe anything and everything that moves. But most of all his first love is definitely food! He will get excited over the most boring dry food and can polish it off before you have a chance to sit down. He will meow and excitedly follow you every step as you fill his dish. Even more so for some canned food! He has to get all that energy for playtime somehow! Quincy is still wary of strangers and will hide from any loud noises or threatening movements, but otherwise he has gotten very comfortable with us after time. He just needs to be able to trust you. The first few weeks he was very shy and was mostly behind the couch, but he has come a long way in even the first month and is now rarely behind the couch because he would rather spend time with us! It just takes a little patience and affection to see the wonderfully playful and affectionate side of Quincy! |
