Cecil's Story: |
|
Hi, I’m Cecil and I don’t have a long-winded sob story and if I did I wouldn’t tell you. I’m not lookin’ for sympathy – just a good friend to adopt or foster me. I’m a down-to-earth boy who sat around the Pound for awhile and was taken under the wing of Cat’s Cradle. They say I’ll actually find a really nice home of my very own one of these days soon. I’m not a run of the mill cat you’ll find every day. No other cat looks like me (except for Milo but when you see us in person we are quite different). I am a small to medium size cat with BIG feet. Everywhere you look there are tabbies, black and white cats, black cats, calicos, and torties, but I’m different and can’t be stereotyped into some cat-category. I heard someone say that if Lady & the Tramp were dogs instead of cats I’d be “Tramp” and I’m trying hard not to be insulted by that! I’m not usually sensitive, but we guys have our limits. Oh, sure, I do have the look of a scamp or stray at the moment and I do need some good nutrition, brushing, and maybe a little salmon oil on my food to bring out a better look to my coat but I’m not concerned about that. I’ll leave those worries to the prima donna cat-show cats. I’m just plain old me and what you see is what you get – a really nice friend for life. I’ll sit next to you, spend a little time in your lap, follow you around sometimes, and maybe sleep with you. I’d love to be your pal. If you have another cat, well I’ll try to work it out if he or she doesn’t boss me around too much. I don’t like waiting in line for lap time, but I won’t whine if I have to wait a little as long as quality time is available part of the day or evening. Let’s get on with it – call Cat’s Cradle right now and stop wasting time. I’ll be waiting. Update: Cecil has been adopted and is now the center of attention in his own Forever Home. He's an amazing cat. He fit right in and made himself at home immediately! |
