Donations
Cat’s Cradle Animal Rescue is a non-profit registered charity (CRA# 85627 5557 RR0001). It is funded solely by
donations and our Fundraising efforts. Tax receipts are issued for all monetary donations.
Our veterinary bills are extremely high as we do not deny an animal any veterinary work it requires (i.e. life
saving surgery, dental work, ongoing medical care for chronic conditions...). We rely on the advice of the
veterinarians who work with us on what the animal needs to live a healthy life.
There are a number of different ways you can donate.
Donations of Money
Or contact us to make a monetary donation in cash, by cheque, by money order, or by using your VISA or MasterCard.
Please note that cash should not be sent in the mail.

Thrifty's Smile Cards
We are issued with "Smile Cards" to give out to our supporters. You take the (empty) card into Thrifty’s and load it up with whatever level of cash you want (typically about $200). Then after the card has been loaded, present your Smile Card when you run your groceries through the checkout. The value of the groceries is deducted from the cash balance on the Smile Card, and CCAR gets a donation from Thrifty’s equal to 5% of the value of the groceries paid via the Smile Card. There is no cost to you to use the Smile Card, and you don’t make any donation to CCAR – the donation is paid to us out of Thrifty’s profits. Contact Beverly to obtain a Smile Card today !
Canadian Tire Money
We can use Canadian Tire Money to buy feed, litter and supplies at Canadian Tire. Please send any CTM donations by mail to:

Donations in Kind
Make a donation of food, supplies and other items that we need to help the animals, either directly or indirectly. These include:
- Cat and dog food, both dried and canned, unopened
- Clean towels, cat/dog beds, heating pads, crates, scratching posts and boards, toys.
- Office and computer supplies. (Contact Us for current needs).
- Items we can sell at garage sales, or use as raffle prizes.

All that a person has to do it take their sorted bottles etc. to the depot and ask that the money
be donated to Cat's Cradle Animal Rescue. The Depot will keep track and send us a cheque for the
generous contributions. We apologize as it is not always financially prudent to pick up less than
a truck full of recyclables at this time.

If you have an item you would like to donate, but are unsure of, please sell the item and donate the money to CCAR.
We will happily supply a tax receipt. Our thanks in advance for this!
We can provide a tax receipt for major donations in kind, provided a "market value" can be established for the goods
and/or services being donated.
